• Wednesday 19 July 2023 Fun Run We are really excited about our annual end of year ‘The Great Weston Charity Fun Run’ which taking place on Monday 24th July. We are already well on our way to meet our fundraising target of £1500. Our chosen charity for this year is the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance (CCPA).

This will take place in the Lecture Theatre, starting at 6pm with doors opening at 5:45pm. It should finish no later than 7:30pm. Tickets, charged at £2 each, will go onto your ParentPay and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

• Tuesday 23 May 2023 Ofsted On 21st and 22nd March 2023, The Weston Road Academy, Stafford, was subject to an Ofsted inspection, the first since January 2018. Following an intensive and rigorous inspection, we are delighted to report that the view of the inspection team corresponded with ours in that the school continues to be good and that safeguarding is effective.

• Monday 5 December 2022 12:30pm Finishing on 16.12.22 We will be finishing at 12.30pm on Friday 16th December, as we always have done on the last day of the Autumn Term and school will open again for pupils on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
• Monday 28 November 2022 Congratulations girls!! Just wanted to pass on the fantastic news that our girls football team were victorious at their tournament today! Outstanding play by each and every player. Great teamwork, which produced some amazing goals! They played 8 matches in total, drawing 2 (both 0-0) and winning 6, with one result 7-0! This was one goal per minute! They only conceded one goal the whole tournament (4-1 win) which is a testament to their brilliant play!
• Monday 21 November 2022 Food Bank Appeal 2022 We are pleased to announce that Weston Road Academy will be running our annual Food Bank Appeal again this year. We continue to support Rising Brook Church to help provide a hot meal for a number of local families over the Christmas period.

• Tuesday 15 November 2022 Go Girls! - TWRA Girls Football Team Our girls football team came second in their first tournament last night in Eccleshall – they played fantastically an only lost out to an academy based team 3-2 which is extremely positive in their first tournament.
• Monday 14 November 2022 Children In Need On Friday 18th November it is BBC Children in Need which we will be supporting as an academy to be able to make a difference to young people’s lives here in the UK.
• Friday 11 November 2022 GCSE Presentation Evening On 15.11.22 We are holding a presentation evening, celebrating our 2022 leavers - arriving here at The Weston Road Academy Stafford at 18:15 to start at 18:30. We would greatly appreciate it if you can please notify us of your attendance ahead of the event. Two guests per Leaver.
